My name is Yetunde and I come from Nigeria. I came to London in 2000, but I only started learning English in 2009. I really enjoy my English classes. I like speaking the most but I find writing very difficult. I want to learn more vocabulary to help me say what I want. When my English is better I want to do a course in Childcare and work in a nursery.
Anna Kreska
My name is Anna. I’m 22 and I come from Poland. I came to London in July 2009. In my English lessons I like listening and writing, but I find speaking and reading quite difficult. I want to learn more grammar and vocabulary to feel more confident in everyday conversations. When my English is better I want to get a job and maybe go to college.

Chen Tsan-Hsu
My name’s Chen. I come from Taiwan, but now I live in Southall. I started learning English at West London Academy in 2008. The reason for that was that I got a job as a qualified table tennis coach here and I wanted to improve my language skills to communicate with students better. The English course helped me to get a better insight into grammar and understanding of British culture. I also improved my vocabulary. I want to continue making the progress and I really appreciate my tutor’s help and advice.
Sofia Salman
My name’s Sofia and I come from Pakistan. I came here two and a half years ago. The atmosphere at WLA is really nice and the teachers are very friendly and hard-working. I started my English course last year and now I have a part-time job in an office. Studying here is a fantastic experience for me. When I started the course I thought it was helpful for my children’s education, but now I think the course is really helpful for me to communicate with people and for my job. I feel so confident now!
Nesrin Alkhatib
My name’s Nesrin and I come from Syria. I’ve been living in London for over three years now. I am an interior designer and I work part-time in an office in Acton. I like to learn English because my life would be so much harder if I didn’t speak it. I have many friends but all of them speak Arabic, which is not good for me. However, I try to watch English television as often as possible in order to practice the language. I started my English course at WLA last year and I am very happy here. I like my teacher and my classmates a lot. When my English is better I want to study for a degree in interior design.
